Merry Christmas

My Christmas was great, as it usually is because i really enjoy it.I hope everyone else got to enjoy it, got a lot of cool prezzies and eat too much tasty food.Even if a person doesn't believe in Christmas because of certain cultural beliefs, then i hope you enjoy the event that your perticular culture celebrates.

The whole month of december was filled with the "chirstmas cheer" and i everywhere i went there was some form of festivities, the best including southbank(it is every year) and my neighbours house who had all these lights and shit up.In terms of home decorations, we had our christmas tree up as usual and we had these neon lights that my mum always puts up on our lounge room windows(the smell of pine leaves and orangey red glow from the neon lights are the 2 main sensations that remind me of christmas).

Christmas eve was going to be a random bus day but the plan changed when Mary and Eric weren't able to come.Me and DD then reorganised the day to a trip to eastland with fitton, but then we threw that out because i had to be home at 6 and we wanted to play pokemon ruby and emerald(yes! were bringing pokemon back....although i havnt play it since DD's, because i've been occupied with other things). Then i made my way home to find my Nan,Uncle and couple of my parents friends, including this women, who is the mother of kids i mentioned 2 posts ago(that pissed me right off!).So i told my mum i wasn't going to socialise and went on bnet to play dota till 9.Then i just listened to music for an hour and a half(i've finally found a song that reminds me of christmas "orange sky-Alexi Murdoch",its not even relevant to christmas, but its offically my x-mas song, replacing"maybe this christmas-Ron Sexsmith") and played dark chronicle untill 2 in the mourning then went to sleep.Christmas eve is usually my favourite christmas day, but it was ruined this year and im still deeply disappointed, luckly the next day made up for it.

So christmas was finally here, although finally is probably the wrong word, as it snuck up very quickly. My 2 youngest sisters burst into my room at 7 in the mouring, each wearing a tutu and screaming my name and explaining to me that "santa came".Now, any other day of the year that would've pissed me off and i probbaly would've dished out a bit of my wrath, but on christmas i don't mind, in fact having little sisters is a benefit when it comes to christmas because there excitement and enthusiasm creates a nice christmas atmosphere. So i greeted my nan(who stays over every x-mas eve so she can be there for the present opening) and made my way to the presents! The material side of christmas is always very good for me because my familiy (espeically my mum) goes really overboard with presents and this year the amount of presents decreased, but the qualty and cost was insanly good (to the point were i feel kind of guilty).

x-mas present list:

Playstation 3, my faviourate present, its fucking insane!

Oblivion(ps3 verison) open ended, role playing adventure at its best!so fucking addictive.

Rogue Galaxy(ps2 game) also addictive and excellent.Level 5 make the best rpgs, they may even challange square for that title.

they were the presents i already knew about, but my mum likes to be sneaky and get more(even though i tell her not to) and so she got a couple of dvds for me including 300,kiss kiss bang bang and my faviourate of the 3, Match point(Woody Allens acting gives me the shits but when he directs and writes movies i usually fall in love with them).I also farmed in some money and other stuff from family members not from my nuclear family.

The family gathering was held at my place for the 2nd consecutive year.We kind of have this food tradition involving seafood followed by turkey and ham, then finishing up with pudding and some form of cake for desert.Eating started at 1:00 and finished at 4:00ish because the three meals are kind of seperated. In between eating it was just talking with family and sneaking off every so often to enjoy my presents. The socializing was kind of ruined because my mum has a theory that i have a new girlfriend (i don't), so i had to tell everyone i don't and then she started stating that i shouldn't have broken up with Nim because "she was nice"(not saying she isnt, im just quoting my mum) and my mum "liked her".It got me quite angry because the ex-girlfriend topic is one i don't want to disscuss with family and don't really want to discuss full stop.I already felt guilty enough for the decision i made and didn't need people who have no place in the issue(mum) making it worse, when its all in the past.So after that attention was deflected away from me, i just had to deal with the "hows school?" and "remember that christmas you set the cauliflower on fire?" comments.

Boxing day(although i don't belive it should be classified as a Christmas day, in fact if i had my way i'd call it "cricket day"or something)was pretty fine. The cricket was great, its been so long since i've seen Australia challenged in a game of cricket(unfourtunalty, Australia ripped the shit outta of India's assholes, whilst raping them the next).Other than the cricket, i just used the day off, to propely enjoy my gifts.

So all in all, Chirstmas 2007= great.

i'll finish up with a picture from oblivion(mentioned above) to show you how fucking good the landscape graphics and shit is!best i've ever seen.

Hey Shaun.

Man you got great presents, lucky you. And Orange Sky is a great song to have as a christmas song cause it's so catchy! I love it.

That sucks about having bad conversations brought up by your mum. It happens to me all the time.

Well Happy New year!!

Swell to hear that your christmas was great. If i got a ps3 as one of my presents i'd be in a right christmassy mood as well.

three hours to eat food? thats awesome. we spent like that long on nibbles cos our family talks so much. are you gonna go for MGS4 when it comes out? $110 is a rip for the games. it'd be worth it though.
Resi 4 is great, but i can't play it for long amounts of time cos it creeps me right out and my nerves get shot. after playing it i think if anybody were to approach me whilst speaking spanish i'd put a bullet right through their head there and then.
